Primary 6
About
By now, your child will have developed their reading skills and will be able to understand and engage with a wide variety of texts, including fiction, poetry, plays, and nonfiction. They will be able to use their knowledge of root words, prefixes, and suffixes to improve their spelling skills and will be able to recognize words that need to be specifically memorized. Their handwriting will be clear and legible, and they will have developed fluency in either cursive or regular print. In mathematics, they will be able to read, interpret and complete information in tables, compare and order fractions, and convert between different units of measurement. In science, they will be able to plan and conduct scientific inquiries to answer questions and will be able to recognize and control variables as needed.
